Dr. Brian Michalkow is a native of Troy, MI and a 1996 graduate of The University of Michigan. He received his D.D.S. from the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School in 2003. Following graduation, he accepted a one-year fellowship in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Detroit Mercy. In June 2006, Dr. Michalkow completed the two-year orthodontic program at the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School and received a Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics.
During his dental education, Dr. Michalkow earned several academic honors including, Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honors Fraternity, Academy of Operative Dentistry Award, American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Award, American Society of Dentistry for Children Award and the Foundation of the Pierre Fauchard Academy Scholarship. As of 2007, Dr. MIchalkow is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics - the highest distinction achievable in the specialty of orthodontics. Dr. Michalkow has distinguished himself as a leader in several dental organizations and as a volunteer for the University of Detroit Mercy outreach programs. While away from the office, Dr. Michalkow enjoys golfing, skiing, fly-fishing and spending time with his wife and two young children.
