Great Expressions Donates Share of Revenue in Honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.

GEDC to donate more than $67,000 in 2018 to charitable organizations across the country

SOUTHFIELD, MI (Jan. 22, 2018) – In support of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s vision and commitment to contributing to the greater good, Great Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC) will be donating more than $67,000 for donation to community organizations across the United States. GEDC allots five percent of revenue generated through patient services from all offices on MLK Day, and with this year’s donations, the total amount it has contributed to charities over the past eight years in connection with its MLK Day fundraiser exceeds a half-million dollars.

?We’re grateful for the continued support our organization receives from its patients each MLK Day,? said GEDC President Greg Nodland. ?Knowing of our annual fundraiser, many specifically make appointments that day. As a result, this year’s donation was our highest yet, so we’re pleased to see consistent progress of this fundraiser that brings GEDC team members and our patients together to support community organizations in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr’s legacy.?

Since starting the initiative, GEDC has contributed more than $530,000 to charitable organizations across the country, including The King Center, Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida, The Children’s Center, Uplift Our Youth, Winning Futures, Make-a-Wish Foundation-Metro New York and Western New York, Meharry Medical College, and Morehouse College. Patients supported the initiative by making appointments at their local GEDC office on January 15 for hygiene treatments, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign and more.
